square-exclamationHow to Share Your Device Log for Troubleshooting

When you run into a hardware or software issue, visual descriptions are helpful, but the raw data from your device tells us exactly what is happening behind the scenes. Sharing your drive log allows us to remotely diagnose and fix complex problems.

Why Do You Need to Share the Log?

Sometimes, a device will fail to communicate properly without triggering an obvious warning. We typically need to review your logs in these specific scenarios:

  • The Pedal Interceptor is not functioning, but there are no error codes displayed on your dash or Comma device.

  • The Smart DSU (SDSU) is connected and there are no errors on the dash, but the Comma device is not recognizing it while running forks like sunnypilot or frogpilot.

To share your log with us, you will need to generate a public route link using Comma Connect.

1. Go to connect.comma.aiarrow-up-right and log in to your account.

2. Select your device from the menu and locate the specific drive/route where the issue occurred on the timeline.

3. On the route view, Click Files, then select All Logs, then view upload Queue

  1. Click the More info button, find Public access and Preserved, toggle it ON (the switch will turn green)

5. Click the Copy icon next to the generated route link to copy it to your clipboard.

6. Email that copied route link directly to us at [email protected] along with a brief description of the issue.

Important Note: We cannot view your log data unless the "Public access" toggle is turned on!
